EXTREME DEEP - MISSION INTO THE ABYSS

Travelling Museum Exhibit

ET Studios takes it to the extreme - extreme deep that is, with the traveling museum exhibit; Extreme Deep - Mission to the Abyss.

Museum visitors explore firsthand the world that exists under the sea, all without donning a diving suit. View newly discovered life forms up close, as well as several actual underwater shipwrecks including the Titanic, with videos courtesy of the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute's recent explorations.

A real-life deep-sea exploration typically involves both a surface ship and a submersible. But how could a museum exhibit accurately replicate the communication between both vessels that ensure their successful mission? ET Studios "dove" right into the project, simulating this interaction from surface to 20,000 leagues beneath the sea. The surface ship is on one side of the exhibit and the submersible is on the other. Guests "talk" to one another, following the pre-determined steps that open the portal to examine this under-the-sea magic.

A video kiosk incorporates DVD functionality to give viewers the ability to control how they examine the ocean floor, from pausing to truly inspect perhaps some artifact of the Titanic, then slow forward or reverse and even freeze frame.

It is advances in technology that allow explorers to travel the ocean floor and it also the creative use of technology that allows ET Studios to bring this amazing universe back to the surface for museum visitors nationwide.
