DVD ENCODING

Digital files are not created equal. Encoding for DVD is really about conversion. Not only the analog to digital path but the digital file to the DVD format as well.

A project like MARS 2112 is such a project. The elements were delivered in a variety of formats. Since all of the clips were to ultimately play from a DVD each had to be critically evaluated. Utilizing a variety of tools, each asset was converted to the appropriate size and format. Once assembled the DVD was quality controlled for overall performance. And, since the discs had to play in a demanding restaurant atmosphere it had to be right and look good.

While encoding for DVD is not as unique as it once was, multi-format assets, conversion assessment and creative authoring is still where the challenge begins. The knowledge and experience of the ET-Studios staff reassures any client that their DVD will play consistently and reliably every time.
